At-Taariq

86:1 Juz 30 · Page 591

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ

By the sky and the night comer -

86:2 Juz 30 · Page 591

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ

And what can make you know what is the night comer?

86:3 Juz 30 · Page 591

ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ

It is the piercing star -

86:4 Juz 30 · Page 591

إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌۭ

There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

86:5 Juz 30 · Page 591

فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ

So let man observe from what he was created.

86:6 Juz 30 · Page 591

خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍۢ دَافِقٍۢ

He was created from a fluid, ejected,

86:7 Juz 30 · Page 591

يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ

Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

86:8 Juz 30 · Page 591

إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌۭ

Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able.

86:9 Juz 30 · Page 591

يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ

The Day when secrets will be put on trial,

86:10 Juz 30 · Page 591

فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍۢ وَلَا نَاصِرٍۢ

Then man will have no power or any helper.

86:11 Juz 30 · Page 591

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ

By the sky which returns [rain]

86:12 Juz 30 · Page 591

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ

And [by] the earth which cracks open,

86:13 Juz 30 · Page 591

إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌۭ فَصْلٌۭ

Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,

86:14 Juz 30 · Page 591

وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ

And it is not amusement.

86:15 Juz 30 · Page 591

إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا

Indeed, they are planning a plan,

86:16 Juz 30 · Page 591

وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًۭا

But I am planning a plan.

86:17 Juz 30 · Page 591

فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا

So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.
