56:1 Juz 27 · Page 534

إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ

When the Occurrence occurs,

56:2 Juz 27 · Page 534

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ

There is, at its occurrence, no denial.

56:3 Juz 27 · Page 534

خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ

It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].

56:4 Juz 27 · Page 534

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا

When the earth is shaken with convulsion

56:5 Juz 27 · Page 534

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا

And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

56:6 Juz 27 · Page 534

فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءًۭ مُّنۢبَثًّۭا

And become dust dispersing.

56:7 Juz 27 · Page 534

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ثَلَٰثَةًۭ

And you become [of] three kinds:

56:8 Juz 27 · Page 534

فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

56:9 Juz 27 · Page 534

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

56:10 Juz 27 · Page 534

وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ

And the forerunners, the forerunners -

56:11 Juz 27 · Page 534

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ

Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

56:12 Juz 27 · Page 534

فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

In the Gardens of Pleasure,

56:13 Juz 27 · Page 534

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

A [large] company of the former peoples

56:14 Juz 27 · Page 534

وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

And a few of the later peoples,

56:15 Juz 27 · Page 534

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ

On thrones woven [with ornament],

56:16 Juz 27 · Page 534

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ

Reclining on them, facing each other.
